Moravian puppeteer Josef Šimek – a lecture by Jaroslav Blecha

The Prague section of the Society for Theatre Studies and the Institute of Arts – Theatre Institute organised a lecture by Jaroslav Blecha about the Moravian puppeteer Josef Šimek (1870–1953) which took place on 29 February. The lecture introduced Šimek’s life and work and particularly new knowledge gained from analysing the notes of his journeys recorded in his two surviving diaries from 1897–1914 and 1919–1937.
